Famed Mexican bullfighter Manolo Martinez, Jr. is from Monterrey, Nuevo Leon. He comes from a family with a long-standing legacy in bullfighting, including his father, grandfather, an uncle, and several bullfighting cousins. The most famous of these was his father Manolo Martinez, Sr., who was widely considered to be among the top bullfighters in the world from the 1970’s to the 1990’s. Manolo has fought bulls in Mexico, Spain, France, Venezuela, and Portugal. Throughout his 25-year career, Manolo has fought a total of 1,080 bulls in 550 corridas, earning 971 ears, 165 tails, and 4 pardons of the bulls. He is respectfully called “Maestro” by all the young bullfighters.
